5 Quick & Easy tips to boost your confidence!

Is it really that easy to boost your confidence? Yes and no. You can make it as easy or as complicated as you like. Can you relate when I state that we can all do with a confidence boost from time to time?
Boosting your confidence can help you make that difficult decision you’ve been struggling with, make that phone call that you’ve been putting off or simply help you to get out of the door.
A lack of self-confidence is also one of the big symptoms of loneliness. It stops you from breaking that pattern and trying something new or different.
And although boosting your confidence by itself is not going to change your life completely, it will be a great first step in the right direction.
So what do you need to boost your confidence.
Self-confidence goes hand in hand with self-worth and being your authentic self. Being your authentic self is all about being connected to your true self, the person you are meant to be, on a soul level. Once you know who you are and what your purpose is, your confidence will boost as well.

Here are my 5 tips for you to become more aware of the beautiful person you are while growing your confidence.

1. Begin Each Day by Checking in With Yourself

Get each day started optimally by spending a few moments noticing how your body is feeling, what emotions are present, what state of mind you are in, what your mood is like, how rested you feel, and then center yourself by practicing a grounding meditation or more simply by taking a few deep breaths.

2. Put Yourself First

Are you one of those people who never focuses on yourself? Start putting yourself first and trust that doing so will make you even more fulfilled and better able to give back to others. Investing in yourself is not selfish. It is necessary! Because NO ONE in the world is more important than you.

3. Don’t let the External world decide for you

Are you always concerned about what others will think of you or about the decisions you make? The more you can stay true to yourself, the less you will have to rely on the need for external validation. Ask yourself: “Who decides how much salt you put on your plate?”

4. Discover what your lack of confidence is about

When we understand better why we find certain things difficult to do or why we are lacking the confidence, it can be very helpful to backtrack what that lack of confidence is all about. The most common reason is the fear of failure, if you don’t start you can never fail. Or maybe it’s because of a negative experience from the past. Bringing some understanding will open new doorways.

5. Celebrate your Successes

It is so easy to only focus on all the things you haven’t achieved yet, all the things you haven’t done yet, the things that seem impossible. That does not really give you a confidence boost, does it. Let’s turn that pattern around and start focussing on all the positives instead. Celebrate the wins, no matter how small they are!
